Pumpkin

This is the completed painting that I started in Shelby Township when I was invited to do a presentation for other artists. This is Mr. Pumpkin, also sometimes know as Payne from my husband because he likes to be involved in every thing you do. If the golf cart comes out, he wants to go for a ride. If you are working on a tractor, he is practically on your head seeing what you are doing. If you are chipping golf balls, he is trying to grab the golf club. He is a people cat.

Pumpkin's feet are an expression of his personality, stretching his toes, reaching for more in life.

This is a painting in acrylic on 11 x 14" canvas panel. For interest in this or other paintings, contact me at Lhartworks@aol.com

Toby

Toby is painted in acrylic on Porcelain and wrapped in Sterling Silver. He is a great traveling buddy. Kind of makes me think he has his business suit on and ready to go to work. Before he head out the door in the morning he gets his teeth brushed so he is ready for the day.

Toby is great company, doesn't shed, and loves his squeaky toy's. He is very intelligent and ready to learn something new anytime. He is a Cocker Spaniel and Papillion mix.
This pendant goes to a private collector. Thank you

Casey

Casey's owner used to shake her head at those of us who pampered our dogs. Now,  she said she has to apologize. After adopting Casey who has changed their world with his personality, energy, and unconditional love for his family, he can be considered pampered as well. When visitors come to visit he does not like to see them leave.

Casey is painted in Acrylic on an 8 x 10' canvas. As you might guess, this painting goes to a private collection. Thank you

We are guessing Casey is a Shih Tzu mix. If you may have a different idea of his breed, just send me an email at Lhartworks@aol.com and give your opinion

Painting at the garden

I enjoyed the beautiful weather and painting a plein-air piece of art work  during a garden tour in Romeo this year. I had quite a lot finished that day but those of you that know my work would  understand when I say I went home and put some more time into it before calling it completed.

Tappers garden is a beautiful serene place of well groomed and designed landscape with flowers, ponds, trees and sculptures. It is a must see when included in any garden tour and I was privileged to be able to paint there.

This painting is done in Acrylics on a wrapped canvas and sold to a private collector. Thank you

Black & White

Black and White is beautiful as well as color. For those that like art in black and white, this is a portrait of my work in graphite pencil which is a medium that I also use. Sometime's I will use pen and ink.  It shows a lot of detail and character in the animal or buildings. I not only sketch and paint animals, but buildings such as homes and barns, etc. If you would like something done in this medium, contact me for more information.

Mukwa and Misko

This Pendant was fun to do because I did something different by changing the direction of which I normally paint on a pendant. I usually have the length up and done instead of sideways. Sometimes it just works out better depending on the animals. This is a painting of a Bouvier and an Airedale on a 2 & 1/2 by 1 & 1/2" porcelain  piece and wrapped in Sterling Silver. This also goes to a private collector. thank you

Penning Cattle

This was a fun painting with a lot of action going on. This is a timed event with the horse and rider separating cattle and getting them into a pen before the timer goes off. In order to do this event, you need a well trained horse and an experienced rider.

There are Limited Edition prints available in canvas and heavy watercolor paper. For inquiries, you can contact me by email at Lhartworks@aol.com.  You can also view this painting and others on my website.
