Brenda's Garden

During the summer I do a couple of garden walk paintings. This one I call "Brenda's Garden".
Brenda has transformed a place behind their home into a beautiful, peaceful garden with many possibilities to paint. We chose this cherub and a few of her flowers. The back wall was a cream color, so I kept it true to the natural color. I will send out information next year in advance for the garden walks, so anyone interested can go to them.

This painting is in Acrylic on a 11x14" canvas

The Bull

If you look through my posts you can see the bull painting that I did. Now I am very pleased to show you how stunning it looks after framing. I have to say I love it. The photo doesn't do justice to the beautiful work.  The actual ring that  goes into the bulls nose is included in the framing and a question engraved on the brass plate.
This painting is framed by Janet Haering at the Art Concepts in Metamora Mi www.artconceptsdesign.com

The Light

These two cats where friends together while they were on earth and I am sure they are together again now that have both passed on. Yes I believe there is a place in heaven for animals. This is an acrylic painting on canvas. 9x12" commissioned peace. THANK YOU
Feel free to send your comments as I love to read them.

Pelican

I find Pelicans very interesting birds. I love to watch them glide along the top of the ocean water so close they can almost touch and than go up high and dive in for a fish. This pelican was sunning itself and maybe drying it's feathers out when I took a photo.
This is a commissioned piece on an 11 x 14" museum quality gesso board in Acrylic. THANK YOU
Any questions about future prints, please contact me at Lhartworks@aol.com

Sophi

This beautiful dachshund named Sophi loved to play even as she aged. A goal for all of us, to have fun and exercise.
This is an acrylic painting on a stretched canvas, size 8 x 8". Any in inquiries can come to me at Lhartworks@aol.com

Izzy

Izzy is a dog with a lot of character and big beautiful eyes. That pose tells you she is listening and ready for something to do. When I paint animals, the eyes talk to me. It's their personality and I love painting your pet that is so important to you. They are a member of the family always there to greet us and give love.

This is a commissioned painting. Thank You very much.
Always welcome your comments.

Bull

Black Angus Bull

This Bull looks like he has  gentle eyes and is a friendly fellow. But my dad always told me, never turn your back on a Bull. It was important for me to add the nose ring in this painting and nose rings are often required for showing or handling to assist in controlling the animal. This is a commissioned painting (Thank You) and I look forward to seeing it framed.
The original nose ring will be added in the frame and I hope to share the photo with you. Inquiries may come to me through my email Lhartworks@aol.com and as always I enjoy hearing your comments.

Red

The owner mom of Red shared the following words with me about her beloved cat.

Red came to me with serious mouth issues. It was clear when he was young he suffered a traumatic head injury which made his jaw line abnormal and gave him a protruding and stoic chin that I adored. I rescued him from a shelter where he had been for over 8 months. He had abscess after abscess. Thankfully my holistic background got us through his traumas and in the process Red enjoyed a free range life and love beyond measure .Carrie Bartnik --Holistic Practitioner

Painting Party

Painting Parties in the Country

Occasionally  I also teach a group in between my projects. It gives people a chance to experience a few techniques of the art and have fun together. It also gives everyone a perspective of the process of the artists. We just do some of the basics that everyone can do whether you are experienced or a beginner. You end up with a piece you would enjoy putting on display with beautiful colors too, or give as a gift to someone you love.

Here is a photo of a group that was fun to work with and did a great job.

Glori

Glori

This dog had the most beautiful coat of hair. A well trained Shetland Sheepdog. When I was taking photos of her (which I do occasionally when asked), I was lucky to get several great photos of her. In fact I will probably paint one of her in the future running with her hair flying just because the artist in me would like to. Glori, no longer with us will be truly missed.

This painting is in acrylic on a 6x8" museum quality hardboard and goes to a private collector. THANK YOU

Huckleberry Dude

This is a painting of Dude when he was a colt, He just turned 33  this month which makes 93 in human years. In the photo below is a recent selfie of him and I. So I decided to paint this piece and I will probably do a couple more of his life in his honor. He has always been  easy going and avoids confrontation with other horses.
He has to have special food to help his digestion now and he looks forward to each meal.  So I just wanted to let you know when you purchase a piece of artwork from me, you are also helping to support Dude.
